They had him doing more and more questionable things, until he finally broke with them. Over time and many weird adventures, the suits powers leeched into him, to where he didn't need it any more. Continued searching for clues about his past. Met up with the Midnighters when travel to Cimerora opened. Met with the Sybil, who told him he was descended from Hephaestus, and had been tapped by the gods as a child to grow up to be a champion of good.
